2. The memorial to David Leyshon consists of a gate with plaque, sloping ramp and new signage near Aireyholme Farm. It replaces steep steps and a high stile and should benefit walkers for many years. His family are delighted with it and express their thanks to the Cleveland group, which donated £1200 to the scheme.

5 Cleveland Group Boundary Walk

Whilst recently restricted from walking, I had the idea to create a walk to encompass our Cleveland Group territory, ie Borough Councils of

Easington, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Stockton, Redcar & Cleveland and most of the North York Moors National Park ( Southeast parishes are by Scarborough Ramblers)

Circular walks can be done to include sections and a record kept (Date-Accompanied by- grid refs of start and finish).

It will be interesting to see when somebody completes it all.

PS this route has not been recced but it is all on PROW. If anyone encounters difficulties please let us know.
